Do you have an antique radio you would like to hear play again? Or, an old radio you bought at a flea market and wonder if it could work again?
I repair, restore, and service most old antique radios made in the United States between the mid-1930’s through the mid-1950’s—both electronics and wood cabinets.
Repairing or restoring an antique radio is a 50-50 proposition at best, and depends on the condition of the radio. It is also impossible to know who has done what to the radio over the years—are all parts original or were modifications made to the electronic and mechanical sections of the radio?
Since some of the electronic components go bad with age, all capacitors and crumbled wiring [including power cord] should be replaced before a vintage radio is plugged in.
